Pardon

Poster against Death Penalty.

Inspired by the classic game of Hangman, this poster depicts a man in the gallows who can be let off by just filling in the remaining blanks to form a word.

The word here is 'Pardon', intentionally used to invoke conventional courtroom parlance. And the missing letters 'DO' form a 'call for action'.

Freedom of Expression

My entry for Poster4Tomorrow, is against the repression of free speech in Iran. The poster uses the country's flag colours and is based on the atrocities people were subjected to for exercising their freedom of speech during the government elections.

Poster4Tomorrow is an open competition inviting the global creative community to create posters to draw attention to, and take action against, the repression of freedom of expression.

The organisers of Poster4Tomorrow hope to spark a movement that will inspire people worldwide to stand together against injustice and intolerance. One poster is a start. Hundreds, thousands will become a global movement for a better tomorrow.

Poster4Tomorrow is online and open for entries from September 3 until November 15, 2009.
